Violence against women is increasing day by day.  A minor girl was gang-raped by six minor boys in Karnataka recently. The girl was a 15 year old girl residing in Dharwad district of Karnataka studying 10th class.

On the way to and from school, the girl was introduced to six 17-year-old college boys in the middle of the road. The 6 college boys committed gang-rape on her, recorded it and threatened to post the video if spoken about it.

In the three months since the videos were intercepted, the girl has been repeatedly raped six times by those 6 boys. The girl told her parents at home that she could not cope with the abuse. They immediately approached the police and lodged a complaint. Police, who registered a case based on the victim's complaint, arrested six youths and deleted the videos in their possession.
