Fifteen students have complained to police that two teachers working at their school are sexually harassing them. The incident took place in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu.
Students complained that two teachers teaching maths and social sciences in a public school were harassing them. Students complained of ambiguous language in the classroom, of putting their hands on girls, and of frequent phone calls even after class.
Police say they have arrested a teacher who teaches social sciences after receiving a complaint from the girls and are scurrying for another teacher. The district education officer, child rights officers and the inspector of the women's police station are investigating the complaints.
