Telangana Jagruthi president K. Kavitha on Sunday said she will not spare those who pushed her out of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).

She became emotional while attending Bathukamma celebrations in Chintamadaka, her father and former CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s hometown. Kavitha resigned from BRS and quit as MLC on September 3, a day after KCR suspended her for anti-party activities.

Speaking at the event, Kavitha said she was hurt by the conspiracies against her and claimed she faced restrictions while visiting Siddipet and Chintamadaka. Taking a swipe at her cousin, local MLA T. Harish Rao, she said the village is not anyone’s personal property and warned she would return if such limits continued.

She thanked locals for inviting her and said with their blessings, her birthplace could also become her karmabhoomi (place of work). Calling Chintamadaka historic, she reminded people that the Telangana movement began there under KCR’s leadership.

Without naming Harish Rao, she alleged that restrictions on her visits to the region have been in place since 2004, after KCR appointed him. She also said she was unfairly targeted for speaking about her parents’ well-being.
