Bangalore-based Krantiveer Sangolli Rayanna Urban Co-operative Credit Society chairman was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday in connection with a Rs 250 crore fraud case, officials said.
Another 15 people have been booked by the Belgaum City Khadebazar police station on the basis of an FIR registered against them. Anand Balakrishna appeared before a special court in Bangalore on Thursday.
