Citizens for best peace security: Prime Minister Modi

Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said all states have the highest priority to the 'Criminals-Crimes System' (CCTNS) for better management of peace and security. The Central Government has brought the comprehensive system under CCTNS to provide efficient police services through e-Governance. Prime Minister Modi met with the bureaucrats over the system as part of a monthly 'progress' review on Wednesday. He urged the consolidation system to safeguard peace and protect the guilty before law. Following the 2008 Mumbai attacks, CCTNS has been incorporated in the country's 29 states and seven Union Territories crime statistics and other information. Its main purpose is to link up to 15,000 police and 5,000 offices around the country.
