Colombo:Prime Minister Modi has said that there is a relative relationship between Buddhism between India and Sri Lanka and that it will try to make it more stronger.He arrived in Sri Lanka on Thursday for a two-day visit. Prime Minister will be attending the International Day of Wassaka,the most important festival for Buddhists.Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Vickremasinghe and many ministers were greeted with Modi at the Colombo International Airport.
He then prayed at the ancient and famous Buddhist temple in Seema Malaka.Modi came to the temple along with Vigrahasinghe and entered the sanctum and lighted the lights.Seema is an integral part of the 120-year-old Gangarama temple in Colombo.Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also launch medical treatment at Rs 150 crore in Sri Lanka with the help of India.Modi will address the Tamils ??of Indian descent.
Modi paid tribute to Prime Minister Vajpayee's courage in the successful conduct of nuclear tests in Pokhran nearly two decades ago. Modi said the Vajpayee was not a threat if the international community restrictions on India after the initial examination.Modi had yesterday tweeted on Vajpayee.
