A severe set back to Lalu prasad:High Court

New Delhi:Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav has suffered a severe setback in the cattle feed scandal case.The Supreme Court has also ruled that the investigating agency should face a fresh inquiry into the CBI cases related to the scam.The petition filed by the investigating agency,CBI,challenging the removal of the Jharkhand High Court in Lalu's case was taken up by the Supreme Court.


A bench of justices Amitabh Rai and Justice PK Ghosh issued a verdict just days before the Supreme Court began working on Monday.The court directed the CBI to consider the case as "the most important".In the six months it was ordered to complete the inquiry into the case of the custodial scam.


Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Chief Minister of Bihar and the CBI investigating the cattle feed scam was filed by four cases.In 2013,the CBI court found Lalu Prasad guilty and sentenced to five years imprisonment.Lallu approached the Jharkhand high court challenging the coastline.He was relieved in the Jharkhand High Court in 2014.The High Court has struck down CBI charges under section 120, 120B, 409, 420, 471, 477, 477A and 13 (2) of IPC.The CBI has approached the Supreme Court challenging the orders and the court has accepted the plea of ??the petition today.
