Hyderabad Feb 10 : Rana Daggubati a bonafide Telugu star and lead actor of the upcoming multilingual war film ‘The Ghazi Attack‘, has purchased a Bajaj V15 motorcycle. The Bajaj V15 has been a bestseller for Bajaj since its launch in 2016, striking the patriotic chord among Indian consumers. The V15’s use of the INS Vikrant, the decommissioned Indian naval aircraft carrier, has made it a success story. Many celebrities, including Aamir Khan, have purchased the Bajaj V15 despite it being a commuter motorcycle.
The Bajaj V15 was purchased by Rana Daggubati for its link to his upcoming film, which is set at the time of the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. ‘The Ghazi Attack’ tells the story of the Pakistani submarine PNS Ghazi, which was flagship of the Pakistani Navy at the time of the war. During the 1971 war, the Ghazi was deployed to destroy INS Vikrant, the Indian Navy’s first aircraft carrier and a warship that would play a crucial role during the war. PNS Ghazi sunk under mysterious circumstances, with the Indian navy crediting its sinking to its destroyer, INS Rajput. The movie is based on these events, with Rana Daggubati playing the role of Lieutenant Commander Arjun Varma of INS Rajput.
“For the last one year of my life, I’ve been researching how the incident took place and what India went through when actually the war had taken place. INS Vikrant was one of the most celebrated warships in the Indian naval fleet. I know the importance of it that time. It’s lovely to be part of the entire thing,” Rana Daggubati said about his brand new Bajaj V15. The INS Vikrant was crucial to India’s victory in the 1971 war against Pakistan, and it now survives in the Bajaj V15 and the smaller-displacement Bajaj V12. Priced at INR ,002 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the V15 gets a 149 cc single-pot engine that delivers 11.83 bhp of power and 13 Nm of torque.
