Andhra Pradesh CM Says GST 2.0 Will Boost Make in India, Launches Awareness Drive

Andhra Pradesh – Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said the new GST 2.0 reforms will strengthen the ‘Make in India’ initiative and increase domestic production. He said the reforms could benefit India by ?2.25 lakh crore, with Andhra Pradesh gaining about ?8,000 crore.


Naidu announced a month-long awareness drive, including 65,000 meetings across the state until Diwali. A door-to-door campaign will explain how GST cuts have lowered prices on essentials like food, medicines, and household items.


Display boards showing the new lower prices will be set up, and Naidu urged MLAs, ministers, and citizens to actively participate. He encouraged people to celebrate festivals while taking full advantage of the new, consumer-friendly GST changes.
