4 Iranian nationals held by Kerala Police from hotel

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 12 (IANS) Four Iranian nationals were taken into custody by the Kerala Police from a hotel here.

The police later found out that the four were part of a 24-member gang involved in robberies in financial institutions, not just in Kerala but across major cities in the country.

The four were picked up by the police on Wednesday night.

The police uploaded the pictures of the four Iranians in the official group of the Kerala Police. And soon, the police officials from Alappuzha district attached to the Chertala Police station identified them as criminals.

The police said that there was a case registered against the four in their station and they were on the lookout for them.

Later, they were handed over to the Chertala police.

The four have Iranian passports.
