Adani Cement, along with PSP Infra, has completed the world’s largest temple foundation at Umiya Dham near Ahmedabad. This foundation will support the upcoming 504-foot-tall Jagat Janani Maa Umiya Temple, which is expected to become the tallest religious temple in the world.

The massive foundation, called a raft foundation, measures 450 feet long, 400 feet wide, and 8 feet deep. It will hold 1,551 pillars and serve as the base for the temple, which is being built in Jaspur as part of a 60-acre cultural and spiritual complex.

This construction feat was completed in a nonstop 54-hour process using 24,100 cubic meters of low-carbon ‘ECOMaxX M45’ concrete. This special concrete was developed by Adani Cement to be more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Vinod Bahety, CEO of Adani’s Cement Business, said that this project is more than just a record-breaker. “It shows how faith, innovation, and sustainability can come together to build something meaningful for future generations,” he said.

To carry out this huge task, the team used:

Careful planning ensured the concrete was poured continuously without gaps, keeping the temperature steady to avoid cracks. The company also used a special cooling formula called "Coolcrete" to keep the concrete below 28°C, and sensors were placed in the foundation to monitor its temperature and strength over time.

R.P. Patel, President of the Vishv Umiya Foundation, said the foundation is a proud moment for India’s culture and engineering. “Adani’s experience with large-scale projects made them the ideal partner,” he said.

Adani Cement has worked on many major projects in India, including the World One Tower and the Chenab Railway Bridge. With Umiya Dham, it brings that expertise to a spiritual landmark.
