Chandigarh, Sep 13 (IANS) Haryana Police have seized 1.5 kg of improvised explosive device (IED), kept in a metallic box, in Deoban village in Kaithal district on the highway, officials said on Tuesday.
A team of the bomb squad from Madhuban defused the high-intensity explosive.
"Acting on tip-off, a police team reached the spot and cordoned off the area and seized the explosive with the help of the STF (Special Task Force) on Monday evening," Superintendent of Police Maqsood Ahmed told the media.
