Myanmar adds 1,307 new Covid-19 cases

Yangon, Feb 11 (IANS) Myanmar recorded 1,307 new Covid-19 infections, bringing the tally to 541,904, according to a release from the Ministry of Health.

A total of 24,311 lab samples have been tested in the past 24 hours, and the daily positivity rate is 5.38 percent, the release said on Thursday.

The country's death toll has remained at 19,310 as no new deaths from Covid-19 were reported on Thursday, Xinhua news agency reported.

The number of recovered patients has increased to 514,833 in the country with 226 new recoveries reported, the Ministry said.

Myanmar has tested more than 6.61 million samples for Covid-19.
