Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday paid tributes to freedom fighter and Azad Hindu Fauj (Indian Army) founder Subhash Chandra Bose. Modi responded on his Twitter page on the occasion of Subhash Chandra Bose's 125th birth anniversary. Modi has announced that his government has decided to celebrate Subhash Chandra Bose's birthday as 'Parakram Diwas'.

"At a time when the entire nation is marking the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, I am glad to share that his grand statue, made of granite, will be installed at India Gate. This would be a symbol of India’s indebtedness to him," Modi tweeted.

Last week the Prime Minister announced that a huge statue of Chandra Bose would be erected. A hologram will be set up at the India Gate in Delhi until then. The Prime Minister will unveil the hologram on Sunday evening.
