Violence against women does not stop in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Men are committing serious atrocities against the girls. A 60-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping a 9-year-old deaf and dumb girl on the terrace of his home.
Rakesh Singh Yadav, Station House Officer (SHO) at Fardhan Police Station, said the accused was caught red-handed by the girl's parents and handed over to the police after the sound thrash. An FIR has been registered against him under sections of the Rape and Pox Act.
Appearing in local court on Wednesday, he was taken into judicial custody and the victim was moved for medical examination. The girl's parents said the accused in the neighborhood was calling their daughter 'grand-daughter'. The accused gave her sweets, lured her, took her to the terrace of his house and raped her.
