Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, said they were not launching their car in India because of some problems. Meanwhile, Tesla CEO Elon Musk hoped to bring electric cars to the Indian market by 2019. But it couldn't happen due to many reasons. Musk said there were many problems with the Indian government and they were still working to resolve them. He said this as an answer for the question 'If there is any update on the Tesla car launch in India'. Elon Musk has been in talks with Modi government officials for the past four years.

However, with the condition of setting up a factory locally and imposing a 100 percent tariff on imports, Musk's dream has not come true. The center has also been c to give full details regarding car production plans. Last October, a Union Minister said that they would not agree to sell cars made in China in India. He wants to set up a factory locally in India and make and sell cars here. Cars made here can be exported. In the wake of all these developments, Musk's desire to sell their cars in India has so far remained a desperate desire.
