India reported an increase in daily COVID-19 cases, with Maharashtra and Delhi witnessing a surge driven by the Omicron variant.
As of January 13th 2,47,417 New Covid-19 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.
The Union Health Ministry meanwhile has started vaccinations and said only Covaxin will be administered to teens and additional doses of the vaccine will be sent to all states and Union Territories.
Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya said that over 3 crore youngsters between the 15-18 age group have received 1st dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
