A meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be held today (Sunday) at 4.30 pm to review the Covid-19 situation in the country, sources said. More than 1.5 lakh new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country on Sunday and the number of Omicron variant cases of the virus has reached 3,623 in the country.
India recorded 1,59,632 new Kovid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, with the daily positive rate in the country reaching 10.21 per cent, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Sunday. Maharashtra has the highest number of Omicron cases (1009), followed by Delhi (513) and Karnataka (441).
