Not to mention the uniqueness of the Sri Nemaligundla Ranganayaka Swamy Temple, a popular shrine in the West Prakasam district. Situated in a dense ebony forest area, the temple is very attractive and pleasing to the eye. The water tank near the temple has a special history.

Devotees who visit Ranganaika Swamy of Nemaligundla bathe in this Gundam. The temple is located in Jaypee Cheruvu village in Racharla zone of Giddaluru constituency. A special attraction of the temple is the dense Nallamala forest near the temple.

A large number of devotees attend the special pujas held here every Saturday and visit the Swami. As well as offering heads and bathing in a pool of water.

It has been proven time and time again that bees sting and drive away devotees from the temple if they enter the temple without touching the devotees who come to visit the Swami. That is why the devotees who visit this temple visit the Swami with great devotion.

There is no need to say anything special about the water gundam near the temple anymore. Mayura Maharshi performed great penance here to please Sri Mahavishnu. The ancestors believe that a gundam was formed at the place where he dug the soil with his nose and that water also appeared in that gundam at sunrise.

No one has ever been able to figure out how deep this water hole is. Although the green light is shaken by the whole drought, water is constantly present in this gundam. Born at Gundla Brahmeswaram, Gundlakamma Vagu reaches Gundala as Sri Nemaligundla Ranganayaka Swamy touches his feet.

This temple is very special in the Nallamala forest area and attracts a lot of tourists. The Ranganayaka Swami of Sri Nemaligundla in this temple is actually considered to be an aspect of Sri Mahavishnu. The Swami is also seen here resembling the idol of Anantha Padmanabha Swamy. Devotees from all over the country flock here every year for the Rangaswamy festivals.
