We have seen many bank schemes till date. Many schemes we know are monetary schemes. Now, Switzerland has introduced the Time Bank. You can deposit your time now.
Depositing your time now can be used in your old age. You can deposit your time by volunteering to take care of the elderly. All the time you spend taking care of the elderly will be saved into their personal social security account.
When the volunteers grow up and become senior citizens and require assistance, he/she can utilize their 'Time Bank'. A volunteer will be set up to take care of them.
A panel of NHRC in 2018 suggested a similar programme in India. Whether the program will come into effect or not should be seen.
