Mumbai Police people banned from visiting beaches and parks amid Omicron

Corona cases in Maharashtra are increasing rapidly. Maharashtra has the most number of Omicron cases in the country with 450 cases. To prevent more spread of Omicron, Mumbai banned people from visiting beaches, sea faces, gardens, public places and parks from 5pm to 5 am till January 15th.

This order came into effect from 1pm on 31st December i.e., today. These restrictions were imposed under Section 144 of CrPC. The restrictions have been extended till january 15th. The Omicron tally in India reached 1,270 today.
