Red Alerts issued amid Heavy Rainfalls in Chennai..

After the IMD depicted the heavy rainfalls in 7 states of the country, Chennai is facing heavy rainfalls. The city is inundated with rain. Roads and Subways are flooded. Rain has made it hard for people in the city to come out. The government has announced that three people have died due to rains in Chennai. Two women and a boy were killed in an electric shock.

A red alert has been issued for four districts in Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur and Chingleput. Rains occur due to the northeast monsoons. The IMD has warned of heavy rainfall over the next three days in the northern coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and south coastal Andhra Pradesh.
