A new case of Omicron has been registered in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh. A man from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) who came to Prakasam district via Bangalore has been diagnosed with Omicron, the health ministry said. The total number of cases in the state reached 17.
Corona cases are also on the rise in the state. In the past 24 hours, 33,188 people in the state have taken the corona test and 130. One of them has died, state medical health officials said.
Worryingly Omicron cases are increasing in the state of Telangana. 5 new Omicron variant cases have been reported in Telangana. This brings the total number of cases to 67. 22 out of these 67 cases have been recovered.
