The AP High Court has issued key directions on the Vijayanagaram district Ramathiratham incident.  HC ordered not to take further action on the FIR registered in the incident. Former Union Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju has filed a petition in the High Court seeking dismissal of the case registered against him in the Rama Tirtha incident.

The tribunal hearing the petition clarified that further proceedings in the FIR should be stopped. It is well known that tension arose during the reconstruction of the Kodandaram temple on the Ramatirtha Bodikonda. Police have registered a case against temple trustee Ashok following a complaint lodged by Temple Ewo over the incident.
