A shocking incident took place in the Tikri Khurd area near Delhi. In a few moments the corpse placed on the pyre opened its eyes as the funeral was about to take place. This seems to have been due to doctors erroneously confirming that the old man had died.

Satish Bhardwaj (62) was admitted to a leading hospital with cancer. Hospital sources told family members that the victim breathed his last on Monday morning. Simultaneously 11 doctors confirmed the death of the victim.

The body of the old man was taken to the cemetery for burial at 3 am. Ganga water was poured on the old man's mouth before setting him on fire. That's how the corpse seemed to move. The old man slowly opened his eyes. Even spoke. Shocked by this development, the family members immediately called for an ambulance. The information was provided to the Delhi Police.

The old man was admitted to Raja Harishchandra Hospital in Narela. Doctors said the old man's BP, pulse rate and heartbeat were normal. He was rushed to LNJP hospital for better treatment. Police have registered a case over the incident and have launched an investigation. It is being investigated whether this is due to the negligence of the doctors.
