Govt: During 2021-22 over 2000 People died in Natural Disasters

The Jal Shakti Ministry on Monday informed that almost 2,002 people died due to cyclonic storms, heavy rains, floods and landslides during 2021-22.

Maharashtra reported the highest number of deaths at 489, 162 in Gujarat and 162 in Uttar Pradesh. There were a lot of casualties during covid times. India has lost many people to the infection. Addition to that, Natural Disasters have taken over 2000 lives.
