Four new cases of Omicron in Country's Capital

The new variant of Covid-19 "Omicron" cases are gradually increasing Indial. Delhi Health Minister Satyender Jain on Thursday said that four new Omicron cases were registered in Delhi. This brings the total number of Omicron cases registered in Delhi to 10. Nine victims are currently being treated at Lok Nayak Hospital while another has recovered from the virus and has been discharged.


Satyender Jain said 40 people were admitted to Lok Nayak Hospital on suspicion. New variant cases are being identified and special treatment is being offered. The Delhi Development and Management Authority (DDA) is enforcing bans in the national capital as new Omicron variant cases come to light. Bars and restaurants should be run at 50 per cent capacity, the same applies to banquet halls. It said the regulations would be in effect until the 1st of next month.

The total number of Omicron cases in the country has risen to 77 with four new cases being registered in Delhi.
