Omicron is the new variant which is spreading at a pace never seen before with the previous variants. Omicron is now reported in 77 countries. 2 cases of Omicron have been reported at the RGIA Airport in Hyderabad. Both the patients arrived are from Kenya and Somalia, Africa. A third Omicron case was also detected in a seven-year-old boy. But it won't add to Telangana state Tally as he was on transit to Kolkata.
Most countries are using vaccines and are having booster shots programmes for the entire adult population but vaccines alone aren't enough. Masks, Distancing yourself, Ventilation and Hand Hygiene along with Vaccination are the methods which can get us out of this crisis
