November 14th- Children's day significance

'Today's children are tomorrow's citizens'. Today is the day to fight for the rights of children, to raise awareness about the need to educate them for shaping the future of the country.

Children's Day is celebrated on November 14 every year. Today is the birthday of former Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. Today is also known as Bala Diwas. The celebrations date back to 1956. Universal Children's Day is on November 20 according to the United Nations. But after Nehru's death in 1964, it was decided to celebrate his birthday, to commemorate his admiration for children as Children's Day in our country.

Children used to call Jawaharlal Nehru as Chacha Nehru. He considered children the future assets of the country. That is why education is of utmost importance to children.

He established pioneering institutions such as the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), and the National Institute of Technology (NIT). Because today's children will make tomorrow's India. Nehru said that the way we raise them will determine the future of the country.

Today various cultural events are held in schools and other educational institutions. Children commemorate Chacha Nehru. Teachers also participate in programs to show their affection for children and to encourage parents to inculcate good values ??in them.
