Everything made in the bakery is made of Maida flour. These digestive biscuits are made of wheat flour. This wheat flour contains gluten. However, every brand company uses different types of gluten. Consumption of higher amounts of gluten can lead to stomach ache, gastric trouble, diarrhoea and constipation.

These biscuits are not sugar free. Digestive biscuits are less sweet than other biscuits. Along with natural sweeteners, sugar is also used in these. It is clear that it is not sugarless. The amount of sugar added to these biscuits is higher which increases the risk of obesity, diabetes and heart diseases.

A packet of digestive biscuits is written fat-free. In reality, they are not fat-free. They consist of saturated fats. Consumption of high saturated fats also increases the risk of cholesterol and gastrointestinal diseases.

To meet the market demand, Preservative chemicals are added to these biscuits. Variety of chemicals are added for flavor. These cause more harm to your body. Even sodium substances are added. Eating large amounts of sodium can lead to life-threatening diseases such as high blood pressure and heart stroke.
