Bajrangi Bhaijaan is the fourth Indian film to cross Rs 900 crore mark globally after Dangal, Baahubali 2 and Secret Superstar
Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan continues to rake in moolah in its fourth week at the Chinese box office. The cross-border social drama raked in Rs 3 crore yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 281 crore at the ticket window. Looking at the current scenario, we are expecting the film to end its theatrical run by this or next week in China. With the tremendous contribution from the Chinese market, Bajrangi Bhaijaan currently stands with the grand total of Rs 907 crore at the worldwide box office.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan is the fourth Indian film to cross Rs 900 crore mark globally after Dangal, Baahubali 2 and Secret Superstar. The film is released with the title of Little Lolita Monkey God Uncle in China. It is produced under the banners of Salman Khan Films and Eros International. Despite being the first outing of Salman Khan in China, the film has managed to attract the audience to the cinema halls due to its emotional content.
Directed by Kabir Khan, the film also stars Harshali Malhotra, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sharat Saxena in pivotal roles. The story of Bajrangi Bhaijaan is about an ardent devotee of Hindu deity Hanuman, and his arduous journey to reunite a six-year-old Pakistani girl who somehow gets lost in India with her parents, back to her hometown in Pakistan. It is Salman’s first ever to release in China where Aamir Khan’s entertainers are the biggest Bollywood attraction. Post the huge success of Bollywood films, the makers of Hindi Medium have now decided to release their film in China. It is set to hit the screens on April 4 and is expected to be an extended holiday weekend there. We hope that Hindi Medium repeats the success of earlier Bollywood films at the Chinese box office.
