In an MAA press meet, Tollywood actress Hema found fault with the Telugu news channels for resorting to sensationalism when a Tollywood actor or technician was caught in a wrong act


. She said that Tamil actors Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan made news channels in Tamil Nadu apologise for showing Kollywood in poor light by telecasting news and views on prostitution. Hema asked why the news of actors registering a police complaint against a channel editor was not telecast in news channels. She warned of not keeping quiet if false news is being telecast about Tollywood actors in news TV channels.
