Veteran actress Jayanthi hospitalized

The health of the actress, who is suspected to be suffering from asthma, is being monitored in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit, and she has been put on a ventilator. Her son, Krishna Kumar, however has stated that there is no cause of concern, as she is responding well to the treatment. Jayanthi has acted in over 500 movies across languages such as Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Marathi, having shared the screen with legendary actors such as MG Ramachandran (MGR) and Dr Rajkumar.
