Rajinikanth's 'Kaala' Telugu Teaser Out Now

The teaser opens with the shot of Nana Patekar who asks a simple question, "Kaala, kaisa naam hai re?" And the question is followed by a stylized visual of Rajinikanth. The 1 minute 17 second teaser is a perfect tease for all the Rajinikanth's fan out their. And soon we are introduced to Kaala Karikaalan. Kaala means "Black, the God of Death", and Karikaalan means "One who fights to protect".

Even though we often associate colour white with clean and good, and black with something dirty and black, here Nana Patekar's anatagonist is shown in white all the time whereas, Rajinikanth's protagonist is dressed in black thus challenging the stereotypes of the society. Other striking features of the teaser are its background score and the stylised direction by Pa. Ranjith. First Kabali and now this, it is quite clear that he is a die hard fan of Rajini because the way he presents the Super Star no one could in recent times.Also starring Huma Qureshi, Sampath, Samuthirakani and Pankaj Tripathi among others, Kaala Karikaalan is slated for an April 27, 2018 release.
