In the picture that's been doing the rounds of social media, Anushka is seen wearing a pastel cotton saree with bangles and a bindi. She reportedly plays Mamta in the film while her co-star Varun stars as Mauji.

Sui Dhaaga is film about finding love and respect through self-reliance. It is a heart-warming story that is rooted in the Indian milieu and celebrates the spirit of self-reliance.

In the first look released by the makers of 'Sui Dhaaga', we saw the chocolate boy of Bollywood Varun Dhawan and the vivacious beauty Anushka Sharma sport the look of an ordinary rural couple in the film.

Anushka and Varun, both have signed a challenging role with the film. The film, based on the ideology of Make In India, is set to hit the screens on September 28, 2018.
