Sridevi's mortal remains were placed at Celebration Sports Club in Lokhandwala, Andheri, Mumbai before her last rites, which will be conducted later in the day. Fans and fellow Bollywood celebs arrived at the venue to pay their last respects to the late actress before she commences on her final journey.
Tabu, filmmaker Subhash Ghai, Jaya Prada, Akshaye Khanna, brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor and other industry folk were seen arriving to bid adieu to the legendary diva. Her mortal remains will be placed at Celebrations Sports Club between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm for members of the public to pay their last respects before the funeral.
Sridevi's final journey will commence at 2 p.m from the club to the Vile Parle Seva Samaj Crematorium & Hindu Cemetery at S. V. Road in Vile Parle west, where it will reach around 3.30 p.m, where her last rites with be conducted.There was chaos outside Sridevi's residence in Lokhandwala, as a large number of fans jostled for a glimpse of their favourite actor.
The ambulance, escorted by three police vehicles, brought the body home from the airport on Tuesday night at around 10:30 PM soon after it arrived from Dubai.
