Kareena Kapoor Khan on-board for Ashutosh Gowariker's Hindi remake of Aapla Manus?

Kareena has had three meetings with Gowariker, we hear

Kareena Kapoor Khan has been away from the big screen ever since she got pregnant and gave birth to her son, Taimur. The actress however returned to the film set couple of months back as she started shooting for her next film, Veere Di Wedding, which also stars Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania. The film has been in the making since two years now (it was announced before Kareena got pregnant, and Taimur is one-year-old now). Now we hear that she is close to signing her next project as a report in Mumbai Mirror states that the actress has had quite a few meetings with filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker. He is trying to get her to sign the Hindi remake of Marathi film, Aapla Manus. The report further states that Kareena is very close to signing this project as she is waiting for her co-stars and the script to be finalised.

Aapla Manus released earlier this month on February 9. Directed by Satish Rajwade and produced by Ajay Devgn, the film stars Nana Patekar, Iravati Harshe and Sumeet Raghavan in the lead roles. This one is Ajay’s first Marathi film as a producer.

Talking about the story of the film, Aba Gokhale, a senior citizen stays with his son Rahul (Sumeet) and daughter-in-law Bhakti (Harshe). It is a dysfunctional family, thanks to the regular arguments between Aba and Bhakti. Aba blames Bhakti for the distance between him and Rahul, while Rahul tries to play the negotiator. Things take a nasty turn when Aba falls from the balcony and goes into coma. While Rahul and Bhakti are sure of it being an accident, Inspector Maruti Nagargoje (Patekar) is sure that it is an attempt to suicide and later murder. But obviously only Aba, who is in coma knows the truth.
