Sonam Kapoor was the first choice for Prabhas� �Saaho�

Hyderabad June 30 : 'Baahubali' star Prabhas is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film 'Saaho'. A futuristic action thriller where he is reuniting with his Devasena, Anushka Shetty has already garnered immense popularity among the masses.

However, as per recent reports, Sonam Kapoor was considered initially to essay the role of Anushka Shetty opposite Prabhas in 'Saaho.' A reliable source revealed to a reputed media house, " The filmmakers gave Sonam a brief idea of the film, and she agreed to meet them. But neither did the meeting happen nor did the makers return with a bound script. "

Not just Sonam, but there were a few other Bollywood starlets who were running in the race to be a part of 'Saaho'. Shraddha Kapoor, Disha Patani, and Pooja Hegde, were among those few whose name popped up while zeroing down on the female lead in the movie. However, there were several reasons for them not being roped in for 'Saaho'.

There have been several speculations regarding Prabhas' Bollywood debut. Since his complete focus is his upcoming project 'Saaho', he spoke about his role in the movie and said, " My character in 'Saaho' is completely contrasting to my character in 'Baahubali' and I am quite excited about it. It is too early to reveal anything about the film yet but all I can say that we have the best teams working, we have a massive vision for it and it's conceptually very strong.
