A Decade for Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander

Anirudh Ravichander is an Indian film composer and singer who primarily works in Tamil cinema. He is the son of veteran actor Ravi Raghavendra. Anirudh Ravichander's debut song "Why This Kolaveri Di", composed for the 2012 film 3, went viral across the globe and has achieved over 200 million views on YouTube. 

At the age of 10, he started composing music and landed his first break with '3' at the age of 22. His great grandmother Meenakshi was the first ever woman in kollywood to be a music composer thus making us realise that Anirudh is following in her footsteps. He was part of a band in school called Zinx. He has won two Filmfare Awards, nine SIIMA Awards, six Edison Awards and five Vijay Awards. 'Master' and 'Varun Doctor' are his recent compositions. The song 'Chellemma' from Varun Doctor has gone viral. 

Today marks 10 years of his career. His first song "Why This Kolaveri Di '' was released 10 years ago on this day. His upcoming movies are 'Don', 'Beast', 'Vikram', 'Thiruchitrambalam', 'Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal', 'Jersey'(hindi) and 'Indian 2'.
