Akshay Kumar More 'Canadian' Than 'Indian'?

A couple of years back, Akshay Kumar had found himself in a strange controversy over his citizenship. During a foreign shoot for a movie, Akshay had troubles with his passport at Heathrow airport, London. It is then the news agencies found out that he holds a Canadian passport, and not an India one. Even if you check his Wikipedia page, his citizenship is listed as Canadian. Which is quite ironical for an actor known for his nationalist films and social projects.

Now a video of Akshay Kumar is going viral that has the actor calling himself a Canadian, while also revealing his future plans about settling in the country! The video is taken at an event that happened in Toronto, though we are not sure when it was taken. Akshay is heard saying, "I must tell you one thing. This is my home.  Toronto is my home. After I retire from this industry, I am going to come back here." Now we are not sure if there is any kind of alteration, but you can be that decider yourself!

Earlier when the controversy over his citizenship was raging, Akshay was asked about it at an event. To which, it was honorary citizenship offered by a university there and that he holds dual citizenship of both India and Canada. The flaw in his defence was that India doesn't give out dual citizenship and Canada has offered honorary citizenship to only six famous personalities, including the late Nelson Mandela and Malala Yousafzai. And of course, that list doesn't include Akshay Kumar.
