Nowadays, many Bollywood celebrities are trying their hand at the small screen, which has become just as popular as Bollywood. While some actors are getting into daily soaps, there are many who are trying their hand as a judge on dance reality shows or even hosts for reality shows and talk shows. When DNA asked Kareena Kapoor Khan on the prospect of her being a part of the small screen, Bebo replied, "I’m not averse to taking up something on the small screen, but it can’t be a daily soap for sure."
Further quizzed about starring in a web series like her husband Saif Ali Khan, who makes his digital media debut with Sacred Games, also starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte, Kareena said, "I’m open to any kind of medium. But again, it has to be something really different and special for me to say yes to it. Saif has done an incredible job in Sacred Games. If I get something out of the box and extraordinary, then why not? It’s all about a good, tight script and some shows on the digital space have outstanding writing."
Kareena also spoke about how she is at a stage where she doesn't need to prove herself as an actress. "I’m a practical person who knows exactly what she should be doing. I don’t think I need to prove myself as an actress. Thankfully, now people know how I am as a performer. Today, when I read a script, I see if there’s something special for me to do. I only want to play great characters," Kareena shared.
Kareena's last project, Veere Di Wedding performed well at the box-office and has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide.
