Priyanka Chopra reveals the truth about her 'mangalsutra' bracelet

Quashing claims that she may have secretly got married, actor Priyanka Chopra took to Twitter to slam gossip mongers and clarify that her wedding will not be a secret one. When the Bollywood star posted a picture on social media while on her way back from a weekend trip to Assam, the internet found her bracelet looking similar to a mangalsutra, a necklace worn by married women in many parts of India. This started speculation that she may have tied the knot secretly, which the Baywatch star has now refuted.

“Hahahah! heights of speculation! This is an evil eye guys! Calm down! I’ll tell u when I get married and it won’t be a secret! Lol,” she tweeted along with a close-up picture of the evil eye bracelet that was mistaken for a mangalsutra.Priyanka was in Assam recently and paid a visit to the Subarna Prabha Bordoloi Girls High School in Jorhat over the weekend where she also performed Bihu with the girls.On the work front, the third season of her American sitcom, Quantico, began airing recently and she has also completed work on two Hollywood projects - A Kid Like Jake and Isn’t It Romantic?

Priyanka will now start shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat that features Salman Khan in the lead role. “I’m looking forward to begin shooting this film and working with Salman and Ali again after a considerable time. I’ve learnt a lot from them in our previous collaborations and am excited to see what this one has to offer. I’m also looking forward to working with Alvira and Atul (Agnihotri, Salman’s sister and brother-in-law and film’s producers) and the entire team of Bharat,” she had said in a press statement.
