Shahid Kapoor To Play in Raja Krishna Menon's Directional

Shahid Kapoor who just gave a blockbuster hit with Padmaavat is currently shooting for Shree Narayan Singh’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu. Now, reports suggest that he has also given his nod to collaborate with Raja Krishna Menon.Shahid Kapoor is having a ball of a year. From the soaring success of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat, all eyes are on him. While the actor is currently shooting for Shree Narayan Singh’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu and is in talks with several other noted directors.

Now, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the actor is set to play the lead in Airlift and Chef director Raja Krishna Menon’s upcoming directorial, which is based on a real story and goes on the floors by the year-end. According to the report, a source close to the development told the daily that the film will be shot across India with one schedule abroad. Locations are yet to be finalised. “Shahid and Raja have been planning to work together for a while now. They had met after the release of Udta Punjab back in June 2016 and had kept in touch, looking for a project to collaborate on. Both agreed on a script that Raja had been working on,” the source added.

Shahid Kapoor is reportedly being considered for Manoj Kumar's Woh Kaun Thi remake Confirming the same, director Raja Krishna Menon said, "Yes Shahid and I are very keen to do our next film together. We have been working on an idea that we are both excited about and it will be a film based on a true story."Recently,  Shahid had confirmed that he would be collaborating with Imtiaz Ali. But, the project apparently got shelved as the producers were skeptical about its experimental nature.
