New Delhi: The Supreme Court today issued notices to the Manipur government on the petition filed by parents of a young man who was killed by Chief Minister Birjan Singh's son Ajay Meethai in a 2011 road rage case. Among the dead, Iron Chitra Devi has moved the Supreme Court to seek protection in the case.
The victim, Irom Roger, was shot and killed when he did not allow Maiti's SUV to be captured. The Supreme Court division bench, headed by Justice Nageshwar Rao, issued notices to the Center and the Manipur government along with Justice Naveen Sinha.
