Kathmandu, May 21: According to the base camp officials, an American clerk was killed when he attempted to summon Mt. Everest on Sunday morning. The climber was killed, along with their support staff, and the group of six climbers reached the top of the world's balcony area, a base camp manager for the Himalayan Times.

"Climber death is still a cause for death," the report said. Murari Sharma, managing director at Everest Parivar Trek in Kathmandu, said a message from the group base camp manager that he died on a climbing hill near the balcony on Sunday morning at Mount Everest. Climbers often consider the balcony area as a "death zone", Sharma said.

Climber is also involved in a 15-member expedition by Don Mazur's Summit Climate, which is managed by Everrest Parivar Trucks locally, reported by the Himalayan Times.
This season is the third death on Mount Everest. Octopian mountaineer Min Bahadur Shechnon died on the base camp on May 6, a prominent Swiss cleric Uliq Stek died in an accident at Mount Everest on April 30.
