Sonia, Rahul Pay Acclimation to 26th death anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi
New Delhi, May 21: Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi paid tribute to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi at the 26th death anniversary. They donated flowers and wreaths at the 'Wire Land' of Rajiv Gandhi memorial. Rahul Gandhi, his son and Congress vice president tweeted: "If I remember my father today, love, kindness and heart-conscious leader we will lose him."
Rajiv Gandhi was murdered in 1991 by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) during the election rally in Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu. He worked as the Prime Minister from 31 October 1984 to 2 December 1989.
