'Sharada' saved the ship from Pirates

Indian Navy commandos saved a merchant vessel from the pirates. The Navy officials today said the incident took place Tuesday in the Gulf of Eden area in Yemen.


Actually what happened is, the pirates attacked Liberia's merchant ship MV Mountbatten, a distance of 230 nautical miles from the area of ??the Gulf of Eden. The alert, Mountbatten, alerted INS Sharada of Indian Navy, which was patrolling 30 nautical miles. Navy commanders immediately responded by the army helicopter to the thugs. When the INS Sharadah reached the pirate ship, the bosses said they had flown in high speed boats. An AKM rifle from the ship revealed that some bullets were seized.
