Dibrugad:The longest bridge in India is set to begin with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 26th of this month.Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonawal revealed this.The bridge was built on the Brahmaputra river connecting Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.It adds 9.15 km distance from Dholas to Satya Modi will also open a three-year NDA regime to celebrate the bridge opening ceremony.The bridge is the longest bridge in India and has a bridge at 3.55 km between Bandra-Wroilly in Mumbai.
The bridge is helping to make Assam and Arunachal Pradesh people journeyh more accessible.This bridge will be easy for travelers to arrive at Army emergency personnel at emergency times",said Sonawal.The bridge was built at a cost of Rs.950 crore in 2011.The construction is to be completed by 2015 and due to some reasons it was delayed.This bridge is 540 km from the capital of Assam,about 300 km from Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.But China's border is just 100 km away.This will save up to four hours of travel time between two places.
