Javed Akhtar suspended from IFFAA Awards
National | IANS | Published :MUMBAI,May 8:Veteran writer lyricist Javed Akhtar expressed his concern over the cancellation of the first edition of the Mumbai Indian Film Festival and Australian Awards (IFFAA).He says it is acceptable and bad.
"Australia's tour of the award function was unanimously revoked by the film industry,what was not happening and was terrific",Akhtar tweeted on Monday morning.
This event, which will be held from May 7th,13th,will feature celebrities such as Sonu Sood,Hariharan, Dharmendra,Zeetendra and Ileana D'Cruz along with Pakistani and Nepali artists.
According to the event's chief executive,Vvikas Paul,"they have been very much threatened by this talent that they are not interested in coming to Australia and are not interested in going forward for this event".
