Pakistan condemns Kabul wedding hall bombing

Islamabad  :   Pakistan on Sunday condemned the bomb attack at a packed wedding hall in Afghan capital Kabul in which at least 63 people were killed.

Afghan Interior Ministry's spokesman Nasrat Rahimi said 180 others were also wounded in the suicide blast on Saturday night. The Islamic State (IS) terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Pakistani Foreign Ministry described the attack as a "dastardly inhuman act", Xinhua news agency reported.

"Pakistan condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. Terrorism is a common threat for the entire region and must be defeated together," a Foreign Ministry statement said.

"We express our heartfelt condolences to the families of innocent victims. We pray for the departed souls of the deceased and for early recovery of many others who were seriously injured in the attack," the statement said.
